Born on July 16, 1984 Katrina Kaif is one of eight siblings, all girls, from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and a father who was formerly from Kashmir, India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.

Katrina Kaif started modeling accidentally when she was in Hawaii at the tender age of 14, when she was approached for a jewelry campaign. Thereafter she continued modeling in London. She was soon flooded with modeling assignments the minute she set her foot on Indian soil, especially with her innocent expressive face, hour-glass figure, and drop-dead gorgeous looks. Katrina Kaif is a young indian actress who was born on July 16, 1984, in Hong Kong to British parents, her father being of Kashmiri origin. She grew up in Hawaii and then moved to London. When she moved to Mumbai she was offered a number of modeling assignments. However, filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign her because of her linguistic shortcomings, such as her inability to speak Hindi. Films that did feature her usually had her voice dubbed over by a native speaker of the film’s language. This changed with the film, Namastey London,along side Akshay Kumar & later “Apne”, in which she dubbed her own lines.
