Heathcliff Andrew Ledger (April 4, 1979 – January 22, 2008) was an Academy Award-nominated Australian actor. After appearing in television roles during the 1990s, Ledger developed a Hollywood career. He starred in both critical and financial successes, including 10 Things I Hate About You, The Patriot, Monster’s Ball, A Knight’s Tale, and Brokeback Mountain, and completed the role of the Joker in the forthcoming movie The Dark Knight shortly before his death on 22nd January 2008.

The Miss America Pageant 2008 was held tonight, January 26, 2008, and Miss Michigan Kirsten Haglund was crowned the winner.
The New Miss America was born in Michigan November 30, 1989. An aspiring Broadway star, she studies music at the University of Cincinnati. Her family has a history of pageant participation, with her grandmother competing for the Miss Michigan title in 1944 and her mother an active pageant volunteer. On June 16, 2007, She was crowned as Miss Michigan. On January 26, 2008, Kirsten won the Miss America pageant and the accompanying $50,000 scholarship. For her talent, she performed “Over the Rainbow”. Before the finals, Haglund had also won the Lifestyle and Fitness award and a $1,000 scholarship.

Clueless is a 1995 comedy film loosely based on Emma by Jane Austen, but set in a Beverly Hills high school. It was written and directed by Amy Heckerling and produced by Scott Rudin. Filmed over a span of a few weeks in early 1995, the movie was released in the United States on July 19, 1995. It stars Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Brittany Murphy and Dan Hedaya.
